Blog #2

I got my first quiz back from last week and got a 2/2. I guess I shouldn't bet excited about that since it was extremely easy, and it was meant to be. I think I'm beginning to become more proficient in this "new language" that I'm learning in mathematical expressions and the process of converting between these expressions and an English sentence. The longer and more complicated expressions are not as hard to understand as I thought they were at first glance, but they are still difficult and sometimes time consuming to think about. The only thing I plan to do is to practice converting them to a sentence and vice versa, hopefully so that I can do it without any trouble.

Blog #1

I learned the importance of simple concepts such as universal and existential quantifications and how these concepts can be implemented in course. The commenting on functions was fairly easy for me since I understood the notion of commenting back in CSC108. I mostly enjoyed the way these ideas can be applied to things in the world such as the ambiguity case and the streetcar drama. My achievement this week was the fact that I was actually interested in the material introduced in the course, which I rarely am. I'm confident that I mostly understand a lot of the material covered and that I will in the future. Overall, I think I will enjoy this and will take full advantage of my interest in this course so that I am able to do well until the end.
